Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday rose marginally by Rs2 to Rs865.15 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery rose by Rs2 or 0.23 per cent to Rs865.15 per kg in a business turnover of 823 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on positive trend
Aluminium prices on Monday rose 70 paise to Rs257.25 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April increased 70 paise or 0.27 per cent to Rs257.25 per kg in 714 lots.
Zinc futures rise on fresh positions
Zinc prices on Monday inched up Rs2.10 to Rs270.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded marginally higher by Rs2.10 or 0.78 per cent at Rs270.85 per kg with a business turnover of 100 lots.
